WORK is underway on two major road projects within the Liverpool Plains Shire Council (LPSC) – Coonabarabran Road and Blackville Road. As part of the Coonabarabran Road pavement repair program, Stage 1 works including road shoulder rehabilitation has already been undertaken between the Kamilaroi Highway and Caroona, thanks to funding secured through the NSW Government’s Regional Road Repair program. LPSC mayor Doug Hawkins said additional stages of repair work will be progressively undertaken as further funding is secured but Coonabarabran Road remains “a top priority”.
